Working with Young People Networking and Information Event; 01/01/0001

Tuesday 7 November 2017 5:00pm to 7:00pm

This event is open for all those working with young people or interested in setting up projects, clubs or one off events for young people.  Please arrive from 4.15 pm for free bacon butties (or veggie option) and to register. Parking is free of charge - please have your vehicle registration number ready as it will be needed on arrival.   

The programme will include:

  • Welcome by Cllr Ellington
  • Youth and Community Support update from Amanda Sylvester, Youth and Community Co-ordinator, Cambridgeshire County Council
  • CCVS - here to help from Mark Freeman, Cambridgeshire Council for Voluntary Services on help with managing and recruiting volunteers, governance and finance, finding funds, and training on safeguarding and managing key relationships.
  • Applying for grants for youth projects from Harriet Webb of Cambridgeshire Community Foundation
  • New projects from Connections Bus from Alan Webb and Andrea Cowley
  • Developing young leaders work from Romsey Mill from Ollie O'Meakin
  • How Whittlesford & Duxford scout group developed their own indoor cave by Steve Marshall of W&DSG.

There will be stalls from local organisations and plenty of time for networking.
